Spending some time at ground level in Sri Lanka gets to the pace of life and to the colour that abounds in the people and the landscape.  Literally plonking oneself on the rich earth in the middle of a track, a tea plantation or a cinnamon grove provided me with a perspective to capture local people and activities of everyday life. One of the abiding scenes at some time before 7am are the fishermen at Talalla, just west of Tangale where a position on the haul of the lines entitles a proportion of the catch.
